I didn’t know I had potential until I was 27

What drives us in this world?

Yesterday someone asked me why I do what I do. I had to think for a bit because “I want to support people in their growth” seemed to bland, too easy to exchange.

And suddenly I realized: I wasn’t aware that I had potential until I was 27 years old.

I always knew I was bad at some things, good at others and had some real talents. But I also thought that this was it. This was the stuff I could work with and improve further, but to go outside of these domains? Seemed impossible!

My reality at that time radically changed during a business training I attended. I had some major breakthroughs and realized bit by bit that that there was so much more in me that I hadn’t seen.

I believe that this is true for everybody. We are full of potential.

And other people can support us in bringing out our potential and incorporating it to daily life.

That’s why I do what I do: I want people to know their potential, I’m here to foster their growth.

As a leader – be it in an appointed leadership position or not – the development of others is a win-win situation.

Who can agree?
